Please meet at the City Botanic Gardens River Hub on Edward Street. To ensure a timely departure, please give yourself plenty of time to park and walk to meet your tour guide.
Dependent on the weather and group size, the tours run for approximately 2 hours.
Tours will go ahead unless you are informed of a cancellation. If there is a severe weather warning, we will notify participants of cancellation and organise an alternative date. If showers or extreme heat are predicted, the tour guide may modify the route and the length of the tour.
Bring a small backpack or the like as storage space is minimal. You’ll need comfortable, casual clothes and sensible footwear is strongly recommended. We also recommend you bring a hat and sunscreen.
In order to keep to our schedule, we ask that you arrive at the pontoon at least 15 minutes before the scheduled pick up time. If we arrive early, we’ll start boarding immediately.
Yes, the boats are equipped with a private toilet. However, more spacious bathrooms and PWD facilities will be available at the pit stop at Brisbane Powerhouse.
To access the City Botanic Gardens River Hub, there is a ramp and set of stairs. The boat is not currently wheelchair accessible. The boat will stop at the Brisbane Powerhouse river hub and guests will walk disembark on the jetty. From the jetty there is a 50m walk to Mary Maes café and the lower ground bathrooms of Brisbane Powerhouse. The tour includes a stop at a local restaurant where coffee and light refreshments are available for purchase. Bottled water will be provided on the boat.
