White Gloves experience: WWII

An immersive and historical session with collection items and tours of significant WWII sites in Brisbane for History students.

Program Overview

Uncover the stories and history behind Museum of Brisbane’s collection of original World War II objects and artworks in this unique, object-based learning experience for History students.

Learn object handling techniques and receive collection insights from our trained Museum Educators on a curated selection of World War II artifacts, such as propaganda posters, handbooks, photographs, jewellery, drawings and more.

Audience: Secondary,  Suitable for Grades 10 – 12

Fees: Excursion $290 per session
Virtual $150 per session
*all fees are GST inclusive.
Supervising adults free.
Duration: 60 -120 mins

Object Handling Session:During this 60 minute session, students will have the opportunity to uncover stories of Brisbane during World War II through the exploration of artefacts and documents from Museum of Brisbane’s collection.

Program can be delivered in conjunction with the WWII Brisbane Walking Tour – a City-wide tour exploring significant events and sites in Brisbane’s WWII history from 1939 – 1942.
