Program Overview

Museum of Brisbane is home to the extraordinary Easton Pearson Archive, the largest textile collection from a single Australian fashion house held by a museum.

White gloves Experience: The Designers’ Guide offers an unique insight into the creative design process, sustainable ethos, fashion history and culture inherent in the work of Brisbane designers Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson.

Receive specialist insight from our Museum Educators on a curated selection of Easton Pearson garments and inspiration pieces, as well as fabric samples, range plans and look books.

Complement your experience with a creative making workshop focused on slow fashion and embellishment techniques.

Fees: Excursion $290 – $360 per session
Incursion $320 -$390 per session
Virtual $150 per session (object handling only)

Collection Object Handling Session
Investigate and handle a curated selection of fashion items from the Easton Pearson Archive with our Museum Educators. Explore the design process from inspiration to runway in this 60 minute session.

Design Challenge
Develop students’ critical and creative thinking skills as they take on a design challenge to make an accessory, embellishment, or a wearable art piece inspired by the Easton Pearson archive. Students are tasked with designing and making their own accessory in 60 minutes inspired by the materials and design choices inherent in ‘A Game of Love and Chance’ 2001 Spring Summer collection.
