Screen Teens Print Workshop

Inspired by Artist in Residence Gordon Hookey, teens are invited to screen print a special poster!

Posters can be a powerful tool. From iconic images to symbols of protest, posters can be pasted up or displayed through the streets. Drawing inspiration from Artist in Residence Gordon Hookey’s personal poster collection, we’re inviting teens to try their hand at creating a special poster using screen printing techniques.

In this workshop you will get a chance to meet artist Gordon Hookey and see 40 years of his inspiration up close. Look at how the text, portraits, music, art, politics and cultural images can combine to create imagery that packs a punch. Then, return to the studio to make your own creation to take home

All abilities welcome.
