RMXTV 2021. By Steve Alexander

RMXTV

Experience a live art remix as a group of artists test their creative agility this May at Museum of Brisbane.

Over the course of three weeks, selected participants will draw and paint on a large purpose-built environment guided by a series of prompts delivered via the big screen.

RMXTV is the latest in the RMX series of collaborative art projects exploring the creative potential of chaos and chance. RMXTV will be a highlight event as part of Brisbane Art Design (BAD), from 7-30 May 2021.

RMXTV participants will discover new ideas, explore unknown processes and learn to harness the power of the unexpected. Guided by the host Steve Alexander, artists will work alone or in small groups, layering their efforts over the last, creating an ever-changing collaborative artwork. Day after day, audiences can witness the space being modified, added to and erased.

Visitors are asked to bring a sketchbook or an iPad to follow along with the prompts, or try remixing for themselves with the STICKRMX interactive sticker activity. No matter their age or perceived drawing abilities, the audience are asked to take a risk and bring excitement back into making art.

Check out the artists and find out when they’re painting in the space here.
