This winter school holidays (Saturday 27 June – Sunday 12 July 2026), kids under 17 can submit their paper cityscape creations, made during Museum of Brisbane’s Remix Your Brissy activity, for the chance to have their artwork recreated by Artist in Residence Martin Edge in his iconic art style, and gifted back to them.
The following terms and conditions outline the guidelines and rules that need to be followed in order to participate in the Museum of Brisbane (MoB) Remix your Brissy competition. This competition is open to residents in Queensland, Australia. By submitting an entry to this competition, you agree to all the terms and conditions stated below.
The competition is open to individuals under 17 years of age who are permanent residents of Queensland, Australia, and able to collect the winning artwork in person from Museum of Brisbane.
Each participant is allowed to enter only one submission for the competition.
The submission should be an original creation and not a copy of an existing design or artwork.
To participate in the competition, participants are required to submit an original Remix your Brissy artwork made at Museum of Brisbane during the winter school holiday event.
Entries must be submitted in person at Museum of Brisbane, during the submission period between Saturday 27th June and Sunday 12th July 2026, by leaving the completed design with a member of Museum of Brisbane staff and submitting the contact details of a parent or guardian that is 17 years or older via the submission form.
Entries must be received by the closing of the Remix your Brissy event on Sunday 12th July, 2026, at 1:00pm.
Current MoB Artist in Residence, Martin Edge, and a representative from MoB (The Judges) will be responsible for selecting one winner of the competition based on the submitted entries.
The Judges will review entries submitted during the submission period and select a winner based on creativity and ingenuity. The winner will be determined at The Judge’s discretion.
The winner will be announced on the Museum of Brisbane Instagram by the end of July 2026.
The winner will be contacted via phone or email.
The selected winner will receive their Remix your Brissy artwork, which will be recreated by artist Martin Edge, once the artwork has been completed within six weeks of the submission closing date.

The winner will receive their recreated Remix your Brissy artwork, and their original entry design in person at Museum of Brisbane from the Artist and a representative from MoB at a date to be determined upon the completion of the artwork by the Artist, within six weeks of the submission closing date. The winner will be photographed and/or filmed for promotional purposes during this event.
By submitting an entry to the competition, participants are granting permission for their design to be used in any promotional material related to the competition.
The participants own the copyright to their design submission, however, by entering the competition, participants agree to allow Martin Edge to recreate the design in order to present it to the winner.
Martin Edge will retain the intellectual property rights to the Remix your Brissy artwork he creates.
By participating in the competition, participants agree to allow the organisers of the competition to use their name, photograph, and submission entry for promotional purposes.
These terms and conditions will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes arising will be subjected to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
