Stories You Wear: No Waste Jewellery with Amanda Hayman

Get creative and turn fabric scraps into something beautiful.

Join Amanda Hayman, co-owner of Magpie Goose, for a free hands-on jewellery workshop where you’ll transform colourful fabric offcuts from clothing into wearable art of your own.

Play with colour, pattern and creative upcycling techniques as you discover new ways to give Magpie Goose fabric scraps a second life. No experience required. Just bring your creativity!

You’ll leave with your own one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces and a little inspiration to see waste in a whole new light.

Drop in and stay as long as you like during this free, two-hour workshop.

This November, Museum of Brisbane’s Stories You Wear: Magpie Goose exhibition celebrates one year of connecting audiences with the rich and diverse cultural expressions of First Peoples communities in Queensland and beyond.

Also on 21 November

Join Jinibara artist Jason Murphy from 1:30pm-4:30pm for Gel Plate Printing, and layer colour, texture and pattern into a series of prints that are uniquely yours.
