Join local writer and illustrator, Remy Lai, for a graphic novel workshop for kids aged 8-12 years old to celebrate the release of her new adventure, Pawcasso.

Remy Lai, a talented writer and illustrator based in Brisbane, tells the story of Pawcasso, a delightful graphic novel starring Jo, an introverted girl who meets an adorable dog Pawcasso. This fun and colourful story is about friendship and belonging, starring the world’s most adorable dog,

Book a ticket for your young storyteller to join Remy, award-winning creator of Pie in the Sky, and learn how to bring similar heart-warming and hilarious stories to life through the art of graphic novels.   With your ticket, you will receive a copy of Pawcasso, workshop materials and the chance to get your book signed by Remy!

About Remy Lai

Remy was born in Indonesia, grew up in Singapore, moved to Sydney and now lives in Brisbane. She moved away from her parents in Indonesia at just nine years old to pursue her education in Singapore alongside her sisters, experiencing the same feelings of loneliness as Jo – but also learning how to be independent from a young age. Remy is the author and illustrator of the critically acclaimed Pie in the Sky and Fly on the Wall.

About Pawcasso

From a gifted storyteller and artist Remy Lai comes a delightful graphic novel for ages 8 – 12 starring Jo, an introverted girl who meets an adorable dog Pawcasso. Jo doesn’t have any friends, but brings her out into the world on an epic, disastrous scale, introducing her to kids just like her. A heartwarming and hilarious story about the unexpected friendship that forms between the loneliest girl in class and the coolest canine in town.
