Tape It! is an exciting, participatory project by Museum of Brisbane Artist in Residence Briony Barr.
Museum of Brisbane is seeking expressions of interest for volunteers to assist in engagement, invigilation and maintenance of our Creative Space. We warmly invite applicants to join the MoB community.
Within the Creative Space, visitors can take part in tape drawing guided by creative parameters and add their mark to an evolving artwork across the gallery’s walls and floors. Over time, tape is removed (‘undrawn’) and reshaped into sculptural objects for display.
Through play and shared creativity, the project explores how individual expression can contribute to something generative and expansive, transforming the space into a collaboratively-made artwork and exhibition.
As part of her residency, Briony will be in the Creative Space periodically, engaging in the creative process. Refer to Tape It! for more information.
MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC.
The Creative Space is supported by Major Partner Brisbane Airport and Holly and John Livingstone.
