Teen Zines Workshop

Calling all crafty teens!
Join us for an exciting and creative workshop where you can learn the art of zine-making from artist, Izzy Heaton.
What to expect:

  1. Tour of New Light: Start with an inspiring tour of the New Light: Photography Now + Then exhibit, guided by Izzy Heaton. Discover the stories behind the art and gain insight into the world of zine-making.
  2. Artist Talk: Listen as Izzy shares her personal journey and zine-making practice, offering valuable tips and tricks.
  3. Hands-On Zine Creation: Dive into a hands-on session where you’ll design your own unique photo collage zine. We’ll provide a variety of materials, including old photos and magazines. You can even bring your own photos to personalise your creation!

What to Bring:

  1. Your creativity and imagination
  2. Personal photos (optional but encouraged)

This workshop is a fantastic opportunity for teens to nail the basics of zine making, learn new artistic skills, and create a one-of-a-kind zine to take home.
