Museum of Brisbane is excited to partner with Brisbane City Council on their Outdoor Gallery exhibition Springfinity.
Beautiful, bold and witty, Springfinity is a three-month art exhibition series set to pop up at more than 12 locations across Brisbane City, including MoB. With elements of beauty and surprise, this multidisciplinary exhibition invites audiences to bask in the warmth of candid humour and revel in simple pleasures.
As part of this showcase, Jasmine Dowling’s film Downpour will be displayed in the Museum of Brisbane foyer. Inspired by slow observations of her garden and the romantic paintings of French Impressionist, Claude Monet, Downpour offers a moment of pause from the everyday.
Brisbane City Council’s Outdoor Gallery transforms Brisbane’s laneways and city streets into imaginative, curious and engaging spaces. Comprising light boxes, banners, vitrines, screens and evening projections, the Outdoor Gallery displays art outside instead of inside on gallery walls. Recently, the Outdoor Gallery has grown to include art projections at Howard Smith Wharves.
