Shapes Orchestra by Marike van Dijk

Musician and composer Marike van Dijk returns to Museum of Brisbane for the premiere of her new musical compositions inspired by Bauhaus Now.

Shapes is a series of seven movements, featuring a six-piece ensemble, based on geometric and organic shapes composed during her recent residency at Museum of Brisbane. The live performance will be a juxtaposition of scripted music and improvisation, featuring a special appearance from the Farbenlichtspiele apparatus from Bauhaus Now, offering a unique live music experience for attendees.

Following the performance, find out more about the suite with Marike van Dijk and Bauhaus Now curator, Professor Andrew McNamara. Don’t miss this inspiring evening of music and conversation at Museum of Brisbane for Shapes.
