RAZZLE DAZZLE @ MoB

10 Aug – 22 Nov 2020

Exhibition now closed

Museum of Brisbane will showcase two digital artworks in the Museum foyer from Hannah Gartside and Rachael Haynes as part of RAZZLE DAZZLE.

MoB is excited to partner with Brisbane City Council on their Outdoor Gallery exhibition RAZZLE DAZZLE this year. From 10 August to 22 November 2020, experience Brisbane City Council’s Outdoor Gallery RAZZLE DAZZLE exhibition curated by McCarthy-Swann Projects curators Amy-Clare McCarthy and Kieran Swann.

RAZZLE DAZZLE considers the nature of public space and individuals within it – particularly people who, for different reasons, may feel hyper-visible or invisible. Considering ideas of identity, spectacle and camouflage, the artists included use patterning, colour or adornment to either hide, exaggerate or transform.

Brisbane City Council’s Outdoor Gallery transforms Brisbane’s laneways and city streets into imaginative, curious and engaging spaces with the return of Outdoor Gallery. Comprising light boxes, banners, vitrines and evening projections, the Outdoor Gallery displays art outside in city streets.

Join co-curator Amy-Clare McCarthy for a curator’s walking tour throughout the Outdoor Gallery to discover Brisbane’s streets from a new perspective or one of the artist-led walking tours (September to November). For more information visit Brisbane City Council’s website.

Stay tuned for more exciting news about our collaboration with Brisbane City Council’s Outdoor Gallery in the coming months.
