This popular program provides opportunities for Foundation to Year 3 students to develop historical understanding through key curriculum concepts. Students will explore how daily life in Brisbane has changed through technological developments and how this shapes our community.
Workshop (1 hour)
Compare objects and photographs from the past and present in this hands-on workshop. Students will gain an understanding of how toys, transport and technology have changed over time and how this impacts the way we live today.
Museum of Brisbane Tour (1 hour)
Complete a guided tour of current exhibitions. Explore the connections local Aboriginal groups hold to Country and discover significant people, places and moments in Brisbane’s history. Students will have opportunities to engage in tactile learning during the tour through the inclusion of educational touch trolleys.
City Hall Tour (1 hour)
Discover the history and significance of the heritage-listed City Hall on a tour of the ‘People’s Place’. Students will gain an understanding of the people and events that have impacted the city of Brisbane.
