On the opening day, we invite you to go beyond the glittering surface in a thought-provoking, free panel discussion that explores the behind-the-scenes development of Shimmer and the voices at its heart.
Led by Rachel Hinds from Open Doors Youth Service, Gerwyn, and the young collaborators, they will share reflections on the artistic process, as well as on themes of identity and representation within the LGBTQIASB+ communities.
This is an informal event. Seating is limited, but there will be some cushions available at the front for floor seating. Standing room will also be available at the back.
MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC.
Presented by Museum of Brisbane in partnership with MELT Festival, Brisbane Powerhouse and Open Doors Youth Service.
