Join Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, for a unique, promenade performance of new work composed in response to Life in Irons.
Camerata’s players love to experiment. They have improvised and curated music for live films, interacted on-stage with dancers, and collaborated with all manner of performing artists, in addition to their performances as a chamber orchestra. However, A place in time will be the first time they bring motion and sound to an otherwise inanimate object, imbuing the history-laden objects in Life in Irons, so full of emotion, drama and story with an aural narrative.
Designed to be beautifully intimate, audiences will experience short concert promenade performances in front of the objects that inspired the composition during Camerata’s month-long artist residency at Museum of Brisbane.
Please note that these performances will not be seated. If you require seating, please make note of this in the special requirements section on the bookings page.
