The Storytellers Exhibition Tour

Discover the myths, legends and stories of Brisbane through the works of nine authors in this guided exhibition tour.

Program Overview

Writing is a coded and powerful tool, used to record history, create works, disseminate knowledge, persuade and affect. The Storytellers explores the power of the written word in a uniquely Brisbane fashion. Nine Brisbane writers were asked to respond to the evolution of place, playing on both individual and collective memories. These writers have brought to life parts of Brisbane’s history through a series of short stories which form the heart of the exhibition. Explore and uncover different perspectives of the city as these stories come to life through objects, artworks, audio and text.
