Perspectives of Brisbane is a fascinating snapshot of Brisbane’s history, the milestone moments and unique characteristics that have shaped and define our city as the modern, new world capital we know today.
Explore Brisbane’s past and present and how its people, places and environments interact by tracing the social history of our city from multiple perspectives. Discover the lives of historical figures such as Aboriginal leader Dundalli and Sir Thomas Brisbane and their impact on the Brisbane area through original objects and contemporary artworks.
This exhibition tour features an interactive digital map of pre-colonial Brisbane developed by historian Dr Ray Kerkhove, based on historical reference material, early accounts and recollections from Aboriginal and European inhabitants.
