A city without art is a city without heart, and at Museum of Brisbane an important part of our job is to be the custodians for Brisbane’s artworks and history. Between the City of Brisbane and Museum of Brisbane Collections, we care for more than 5,000 artworks and objects of historic and cultural significance to our city’s community.
Museum of Brisbane is a participating recipient organisation of the Australian Federal Government’s Cultural Gifts Program, which encourages gifts of cultural significance to public institutions by offering donors a tax deduction for the market value of their gifts.
