The Rigger’s Dream

Poem1

Sometimes people donate some amazing items to Museum of Brisbane. Our curatorial and collections team came across a poem written in 1938 called The Rigger’s Dream by Fred Strutt. It’s a funny poem about getting drunk at ‘The Empire’ then ending up at the gates of heaven and watching all your mates being turned away by St Peter.  Click on the slideshow below to read the whole poem.
