Living in the city awarded by Queensland President of Architecture Institute of Australia

One of the Museum’s newest exhibitions, Living in the city: New architecture in Brisbane & the Asia-Pacific, was this month awarded the annual Queensland Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects President’s Prize by outgoing President Richard Kirk.

Since being established in 1998, the President’s Prize is awarded at the discretion of the President to recognise individuals or organisations for their contribution to or support of the architectural profession.

This year is the first time that an exhibition has received the award, as it is traditionally given to individual architects or firms for a particular residential or commercial project.

Winning the award is a great honour, and we are thrilled to see that Living in the city‘s  exploration of contemporary architectural practice has resonated with the industry.
