Artful Storytellers

Delve deeper into The Storytellers with this program designed to develop literacy skills with a guided exhibition tour and writing workshop.

Program Overview

The Artful Storytellers program is designed to build literacy skills for primary and secondary by responding directly to The Storytellers exhibition.

Flexible lesson plans are available which structure the experience into a series of gallery response activities material culture, artworks and narrative this is followed by a writing workshop.

The learning activities are tailored to the learning needs of primary or high school students.

Program Details
Audience: Primary and Secondary, Suitable for Grades 3 – 12
Curriculum Areas: English, Visual Arts and History
Fees: $220 per session
*all fees are GST inclusive.
Supervising adults free.
Duration: 60-120 minutes
Options: MoB Learn Monday Excursion
Exhibition Tour
A 60 minute guided exhibition tour delivered by Museum Educators targeted to the age, grade and learning outcomes of the group. During the tour, students will complete a series of tasks to prepare for the writing workshop.

Writing Workshop
A 60 minute writing workshop held in our studio space connected to the stories and information collected during the exhibition tour. Students will engage in a variety of individual and group writing tasks depending on their age, grade and desires learning outcomes.
