Assistant Registrar

The Assistant Registrar is responsible for coordinating operational collection management tasks for new acquisitions and loans, and the upkeep and maintenance of object records, including image management. This role works within the Collections and Curatorial team to care for the City of Brisbane and Museum of Brisbane Collections, and deliver a dynamic exhibition program.

The ideal candidate must be extremely organised with a high level of personal initiative, as well as experienced in artwork and object cataloguing and loan management. This role would ideally suit a professional who wants to gain a breadth of experience in a creative, cultural organisation and develop key capabilities across collection management with a focus on social history and the visual and decorative arts. Superior communication skills and a combination of energy, commitment and resilience and a sense of humour are highly regarded. A commitment to excellence and innovation is essential.

The role requires experience in a Registration environment.
