A Professional Development  Opportunity for Teachers and Educators

Join the Museum of Brisbane Learn Team for a virtual Professional Development session designed for Teachers and Educators. Inspired by MoB’s newest exhibition Making Place: 100 Views of Brisbane, this fast, fun and stimulating session will pose questions about what makes a place. Do the inhabitants of a city all experience the same place or do we have our own understanding? And if so, whose version is the real one? Examine themes of identity, belonging and community through the eyes of our city’s most celebrated artists, bounce ideas off your fellow educators and be inspired our special guest speaker, artist Lawrence English.

DATE & TIME: Thursday 14 April 2022, 1:30 – 3:00pm
LOCATION: Online via Zoom
SESSION OUTCOMES: You will discover entry points into curriculum priorities in English, Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts across year levels, explore new modes of student engagement and bounce ideas off your fellow educators.  We will also provide lesson resources that can be applied in your classroom.
