Richard John Randall’s creative life as an art student and practising artist in London and Brisbane was short—spanning little more than twenty years—but prolific. His oeuvre was estimated, after his death, to comprise about 1,000 works.
Richard Randall: 1869 - 1906
The City of Brisbane Collection holds 217 artworks including portraits; Australian bush and seaside scenes as well as water colours of Middle Eastern and English scenes from Randall’s overseas studies.
Marking the centenary of his death, this exhibition was shown at The Redlands Museum before its display at Museum of Brisbane.
