Twenty gardeners told stories that reflect people in transition and capture glimpses of spirituality, solace, grief and gratitude.
Many tongues tell tales of gardens, families, food, traditions, experimentations, celebrations, and what it’s like to be in Brisbane creating a new life, putting down new roots. Through photographs and conversations, this exhibition was a moving and personal glimpse of migrants, the earth and the hearts that make things grow – so far away from home.
A feature of this exhibition was Growing Home – a living garden filled with herbs, vegetables, flowers, and trees from all corners of the globe.
