Many works by 19th and 20th century Australian artists who made Queensland their home are part of the City of Brisbane Collection.
Doubletake: New Works inspired from the City Collection
To illuminate the diversity and share the richness of our treasures, MoB invited various Brisbane artists to choose a work from the Collection and make a new work in response to it. Motivated by subject, style, colour, or something indefinable, each artist has produced an artwork uniquely their own, but with a special connection to the source of its inspiration.
Contributing Artists included: Leonard Brown, Michael Eather, Neil Degney, Fiona Foley, Joachim Froese, Judith Kentish, Simon Mee, Wendy Mills and Stephen Nothling.
