“By understanding the land on which we live and caring for it, we can choose between having a place to live, or belonging to a living home”.
Belonging: Jeannie Baker
This exhibition was a display of the enchanting collages that made Jeannie Baker’s 2004 book Belonging so popular.
Belonging tells the story of the creation of a living community garden overflowing with plants, flowers, insects, trees, herbs, grass, bushes and love – right in the middle of city. When young and old plant a garden together the streets gradually become safe places to play, live, learn and wonder. And everything begins to blossom.
