While having a manicure or beauty treatment at iNails, clients were invited to be pampered and immersed in Baumann's fantasy salon, a utopian mirage. Guided by the Hologram Hostess' safety video, demonstrating the key make-over acts associated with teleporting to an elusive neon oasis, the intoxicating installation featured flickering lightings, dreamy exotic soundtracks and nail art that could trigger augmented reality experiences.
The artist has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
