Nissens jewellery store, established by Frederick William Nissen (1862–1925) was a family owned jewellery, manufacturing and retail business. Nissens designed and made many of their own products. While Nissens sold a variety of jewellery, accessories, and homewares including clocks, crystal, and silverware, the centrepiece of their store were diamonds and watches. Nissens were located in multiple Queen Street stores across their nine decades of trade as well as in Fortitude Valley and Bundaberg, they finished trading in 1984.
